For the City of The Hague it is important that everyone feels at home here. As such we are constantly  working towards creating opportunities to make the city even more attractive and versatile than it already is. The Hague offers an ideal mix of cultural and social activities, combining the facilities and cultural factors of a metropolitan area with outstanding natural beauty. An impressive third of the total surface area of The Hague is green, including more than 400 hectares of woodland. This, the greenest city of Europe also has two seaside resorts to add to its attractiveness: Scheveningen and Kijkduin are both integral parts of the city.
