The Hague has the largest choice of international schools for both primary and secondary levels.
The Hague lives up to its name as an international city of education, with the largest selection of international schools on offer in the Netherlands, and half of its international pupils attend an international school.
The Hague region has two schools with an international educational programme, four foreign international schools (British, French, American and German), smaller schools associated with embassies (Polish, Indonesian) and an international school for special education. More recently it was announced that a European School would open in The Hague.
The Hague and its suburbs offer a large number of private English-speaking playschools, day care facilities and after school care. All playschools, day care centres and after school care centres have an educational policy demonstrating the teaching principles and the philosophy upon which their programmes are founded.
